Oppo A16 packs the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC which is paired with the IMG GE8320 GPU. It has 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card.

For photos and videos, the phone comes with a dual rear camera setup. It has a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens and a 2-megapixel depth shooter with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the device uses an 5-megapixel shooter.
