The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 7 was spotted on GeekBench Benchmarking website sometime back with codename Xiaomi Dipper. Now the smartphone has again made rounds on the same website, this time but with its original name.
In the GeekBench listing via Nashvillechatterclass, the Xiaomi Mi 7 got 1914 points in single-core test and in multi-core test it received 6334 points. As per the listing on Geekbench, the Xiaomi Mi 7 has 6GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 (MSM8998) 1.90 GHz octa-core processor. The handset is based on the Android 8.0.0 Oreo operating system.
Xiaomi Dipper on earlier GeekBench listing surfaced with 6GB RAM with octa-core Snapdragon 845 SoC and clock speed of 1.77 GHz whereas the latest listing shows 6GB RAM and octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor and clocks at a speed of 1.90 GHz. Xiaomi Dipper is now expected to be a variant of Mi 7.
Xiaomi is speculated to launch its upcoming flagship Mi 7 smartphone on May 23 in China. But if a recent report from China revealed that Xiaomi Mi 7 along with the upcoming Mi Band 3 will be launched in May end instead.
As per earlier reports, Mi 7 will feature a 5.6-inch display with 1440 x 2880 Pixel resolution, Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU, Android 8.0 Oreo running MIUI 9, 64GB/128GB of internal capacity, 6GB/8GB RAM, non-removable 4480mAh battery with quick charge, 16-megapixel dual rear camera with dual tone LED flash and 13-megapixel front camera.
