Xiaomi is speculated to launch its upcoming flagship Mi 7 smartphone on May 23 in China. But if a recent report from China is to be believed, the Xiaomi Mi 7 along with the upcoming Mi Band 3 will be launched in May end instead.
Popular leakster @IceUniverse on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo has revealed that the Mi 7 will be officially announced by the end of this month. There is another tipster @Kumamoto Technology who has claimed on the same Weibo website that the launch event for Xiaomi Mi 7 will be held at Shenzhen. Alongside Mi 7, he has also revealed that the Mi Band 3 will also be unveiled on the same day.
As of now, the exact launch date of either Xiaomi Mi 7 or Xiaomi Mi Band 3 has not been officially announced by the company. So, we advise you to take this information with a pinch of salt. We have to wait till Xiaomi start teasing the launch soon.
Earlier in the day, we saw images of a protective TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane) case of the Mi 7 surfacing online. The rumoured specifications of Mi 7 include a 5.6-inch display with 1440 x 2880 pixel resolution, Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU, Android 8.0 Oreo running MIUI 9, 64GB/128GB of internal capacity, 6GB/8GB RAM, non-removable 4480mAh battery with quick charge, 16-megapixel dual rear camera with dual tone LED flash and 13-megapixel front camera.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 3, on the other hand, was teased by the company recently on its official Twitter handle. The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 is expected to come with an OLED display and supporting screen touch. The device got its Bluetooth certification a few months ago and will come with Bluetooth 4.2 LE. The complete details of the Mi Band 3 specifications are yet to be known.
