Looks like Redmi is working on its next flagship smartphone which could be launched in China in the coming days. Yesterday, company has posted a video teaser on its official Weibo account showing a sequence of the latest ‘Avengers- Endgame’ movie with some of the images of the recently launched Redmi phones and at the end of the video, one can see a mysterious smartphone with notch-less display design along with a pop-up selfie camera. Moreover, the company used the word ‘flagship’ to tease this device.
Earlier, there were rumours that new Redmi flagship smartphone is expected to come with a Snapdragon 855 Chipset and will have a pop-up front camera. However, Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing had laid all speculations to rest by confirming the phone won’t have a pop-up selfie camera. But again contradictory to Lu Weibing’s statement, we are seeing a mysterious smartphone with Pop-up selfie camera in works.
As per earlier leaks and reports, the Redmi’s upcoming flagship device could come equipped with latest Snapdragon 855 chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is expected to sport a triple rear camera set up with a combination of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor and 13MP third sensor. Furthermore, the device is expected to house an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm Headphone jack.
If we go by the Lu Weibing’s earlier statement, then the company might be working on two smartphones, one with Puch-hole design and another with pop-up selfie shooter.
Recently, we have reported that Xiaomi is planning to launch Qualcomm Snapdragon 730-poweredsmartphone in India in the coming days, as company’s CEO Manu Kumar Jain, had teased that there will be a new smartphone launch going to happen in India very soon. The teaser reads “Breaking news: A new #Xiaomi phone with latest #Snapdragon 7_ _ (announced just 2 weeks ago) is coming to India very soon! Any guesses?”
If we go by this tweet, the upcoming smartphone is expected to have an Octa-core Snapdragon 730 SoC or 730G. The Snapdragon 730 SoC has two 2.2GHz Kryo 470 cores and six 1.8GHz Kryo 470 cores inside an 8nm-built manufacturing process, alongside Adreno 618 GPU. It chipset can support up to 8GB RAM, eMMC, UFS 2.1 storage and USB 3.1 connectivity. On the other hand, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G offers up to 15 percent faster graphics rendering over the SND 730 and up to 25 percent boost over the last generation Snapdragon 710 processor.
