We have recently reported that the Xiaomi is all set to unveil its latest Snapdragon 855 powered flagship device. The smartphone was earlier said to be launching as Redmi X. But recently the general manager of Redmi brand, Lu Weibing has denied all reports and confirmed through its official Weibo account that the upcoming smartphone would not be called as Redmi X. The post reads “Do not call Redmi X, there will be a better name. Good night.”
Today an alleged image showing few specifications of Redmi flagship device is doing rounds on the internet. As per the picture, the phone is named as Redmi K20 Pro which has has a 6.39-inch Full AMOLED Display with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SOC. On the front, it shows 20-megapixel Pop-up selfie AI camera, while on the back, it shows a triple rear camera module with Sony’s IMX586 48-megapixel super wide-angle as the primary sensor. Further, the image shows that the phone will be backed up by a 4000mAh battery.
Incidentally, while writing this article, we laid our hands on two more images showing the same specifications with two different names- Redmi P20 Pro and Redmi X20 Pro. So these images might be a photo-shopped whose authenticity couldn’t be verified. So we advise taking this development with a pinch of salt.
Recently, as per reports from China, Lu Weibing had confirmed through its Weibo post, that the smartphone would come equipped with an ultra wide-angle lens and will retain 3.5mm Audio Jack with supports of NFC as well.
Earlier, a video teaser was posted on the company’s official Weibo account showing a smartphone having notch-less display along with a pop-up selfie camera and used the word ‘flagship’ to tease the device.
