Nokia 3 is already confirmed to skip Android 7.1.2 Nougat update and directly receive Oreo update instead. Now HMD Global has revealed that the Android Oreo Beta update for Nokia 3 is just around the corner and is coming on your way soon.
The news was confirmed by Juho Sarvikas HMD Global’s Chief Officer on his official twitter handle. His post reads “#Nokia3 Beta Labs right around the corner”. This hints that the smartphone will be receiving Android Oreo update soon. Juho also talked about Nokia 2 which will directly get Android 8.1 Other Nokia smartphones including the Nokia 6 and Nokia 5 already received Oreo beta update nearly a month ago.

Nokia 3 currently retails at around Rs 8,000 online in India and was earlier available through offline channels only. Later it was listed online on Croma (an electric store) as well as offline bookings. As far as specifications are concerned, Nokia 3 comes with 5-inch HD 2.5 D curved displays with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. We get 1.3 GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MTK 6737 Chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. Nokia 3 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and packs in a 2650 mAh battery inside.
For the optics, we get a combination of 8-megapixel cameras on both front and back with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron Pixel size along with LED flash at the back and display flash at the front. For connectivity, we have Micro USB (USB 2.0), USB OTG, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC for sharing. Apart from this, we get Accelerometer (G-sensor), ambient light sensor, e-compass, fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. The device measures at 143.4 x 71.4 x 8.48 mm.
