Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S21 FE has been leaked extensively. It has now allegedly been spotted on the US FCC certification website. The S21 FE is a watered-down version of the S21 series, which made a debut earlier this year.
The US FCC listing carries the model number SM-G990U which is supposedly the Galaxy S21 FE. Additionally, the listing states that the phone is compatible with two Samsung chargers, including EP-TA800 and EP-TA845. The first one is a 25W charger, while the second one is a 45W charger.
A previous report mentions that the S21 FE was spotted on China’s 3C certification and had 25W Fast charging support. The model has also been spotted on Geekbench previously, which revealed a couple of specifications. As per the listing, the device could be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chip and 8GB of RAM.
Another report from Galaxy Club has suggested that the Galaxy S21 FE will have a 4500mAh battery. The battery comes with model number EB-BG990ABY which has a rated capacity of 4,370mAh. So the typical capacity should round up to 4500mAh based on this leak.
Noted analyst of DisplaySearch and DSCC, Ross Young, tweeted about the colour options of the Galaxy S21 FE a while back. The phone could arrive in four colours, including Light Green, Light Violet, Gray and White. He also says that the production for the phone could begin as soon as July, though an exact date wasn’t provided.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Price
As per a recent leak, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE price has also been set between KRW 700,000 (approx Rs 45,900) and KRW 800,000 (approx Rs 52,500). The device has been tipped to launch in August.
Regarding smartphone availability, Samsung might not be able to sell the smartphone in most countries. The reason behind this could be the shortage of Processor chips in the market. Because of this, the phone might only be launched in European and US markets.
And finally, the design of the Galaxy S21 FE has also been revealed in the past through renders. Per the render, the smartphone looks similar to Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S21+. The Galaxy S21 FE should sport a 6.4-inch panel on the front. It is slightly bigger than the one seen on the regular Galaxy S21.
Some other rumoured specifications of the device include a 32MP selfie camera and a 12MP triple-camera setup at the rear. It could also feature stereo speakers and an IP67/68 certification. The phone should also support reverse wireless charging along with NFC. It could run on Android 11 based on OneUI 3.1.1.
