Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi 7A: Things you should know

Today, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi K20 will be using AMOLED display and will come equipped with the seventh generation fingerprint sensor.

As reported earlier, Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi is all set to launch its flagship smartphones, named as Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro, in China on May 28. Now both the smartphones have got the 3C certifications in China, which reveals that the Redmi K20 will come with 18W support, while Redmi K20 Pro will have 27W fast charging support.

In another development, alleged Redmi 7A smartphone has also got 3C certification in China. The phone was listed on TENAA Chinese certification with model numbers M1903C3EE/M1903C3EC revealing its key specifications a few days back.

Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones:

Xiaomi has confirmed via official Weibo handle that the upcoming Redmi K20 will be using AMOLED (resolution of 2340*1080) screen and will come equipped with the seventh generation in-display fingerprint sensor.

Yesterday, Xiaomi had also confirmed via Weibo account that a 4,000mAh battery would power the upcoming Redmi flagship device. Further, Redmi President recently claimed that the Redmi K20 has achieved the score as high as 458,754 in AnTuTu.

Earlier, we have reported that the Redmi K20 smartphone was found listed on one of the Chinese retailers, revealing its key specifications.

As per the listing, the Redmi K20 would have a 6.15 inches Full display with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. The flagship device will be powered by the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 along with 6GB of and of 128GB of internal storage.

On the camera front, the Redmi K20 flagship device will sport a triple rear camera setup with a combination of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel secondary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the smartphone will sport a 20-megapixels selfie snapper, which said to be the pop-selfie module.

Further, the company’s top management already hinted towards Q beta version. Moreover, Redmi K20 would also have a USB Type C port. Other connectivity options will include VoLTE, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, and Dual with dual standby.

A few days back, Manu Jain, VP Xiaomi had also hinted that the Redmi K20 flagship smartphone will be launched in India pretty soon.

Redmi 7A smartphone:

The alleged Redmi 7A with model numbers M1903C3EE/M1903C3EC was recently spotted on TENAA. As per listing, the Redmi 7A will feature a 5.45-inch (1440 x 720 pixels)18:9 2.5D curved glass display, 1.4GHz octa-core processor, will have three variants – 2GB RAM with 16GB storage, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, expandable storage up to 256GB, single 13-megapixel AI rear camera with flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10, a 4000mAh battery.

Connectivity options include Dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm and FM Radio. The phone will measure 146.30×70.41×9.55 mm and it will weigh 150 grams. Further, the product images do not show any fingerprint sensor on the back which suggests that it will be an entry-level smartphone.
