Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has today revealed its new budget smartphone in China, named as Redmi 7A, just few days ahead of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro flagship smartphones launch, which is scheduled for May 28. The phone will have two variants,2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. The company will reveal the pricing of the smartphone on May 28th, when the company will unveil its flagship Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones. The phone will have two colour options- Matte Black and Morning Blue.
A couple of days back, Redmi 7A smartphone had got 3C certification in China and was earlier found listed on TENAA Chinese certification website with model numbers M1903C3EE/M1903C3EC revealing its key specifications. The specifications are on the line of earlier listings and reports.
As far as specifications are concerned, Redmi 7A features a 5.45-inch HD 2.5D curved glassdisplay with a Resolution on 18:9 and is powered by 2.0GHz octa-core Quad 1.95GHz Cortex A53 + Quad 1.45GHz Cortex A53)Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC with Adreno 505 GPU. The phone has an eye protection screen which protects you from harmful blue light and eye protection mode level is increased to 255 steps. It also has Sunscreen function which enables reading in outdoor more convenient.
For the optics, Redmi 7A sports a single 13MP AI rear camera along with LED flash, PDAF phase focus, AI beauty and on the front, it has a 5MP AI selfie shooter. Camera features include AI Beauty camera, AI Background Blur and also supports AI Face Unlock. The phone measures146.30×70.41×9.55mm and weighs150 grams.
The smartphone gets its juices from a 4000mAh battery that supports 10W charging and comes with an option of expanding the storage upto 256GB via microSD card. As per the company, the smartphone has gone through P2i nano protective coating treatment which makes this phone splash proof. The Headphone jack, Micro USB port and SIM card holder come equipped with rubber sleeves, which can effectively reduce the risk of accidents caused by oil, sweat or other spills.
The phone is also optimized for senior citizens with large colour palettes for apps and more simplified MIUI functionality. Moreover, the smartphone comes with “Family Guardian” feature or “SOS Emergency Help” option, which enable users to manages the apps installation and usage time of mobile apps and even one can limit the child’s access to bad websites. Active “Family Guardian” feature can also send the location reminders of the whereabouts of your children and elders. Further, the radio can be played without plugging the headphones. Connectivity options include Triple SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack and FM Radio.
