Lava debuted its Agni 5G smartphone in India back in November of 2021 and since then, it hasn’t seen a successor but that could soon change. Lava is now rumoured to launch the Agni 2 5G device in India soon and we now have a speculated set of specifications and launch timeline for the upcoming Lava phone. Let’s take a look at them.
Lava Agni 2 5G: Leaked Specifications
Tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz), in collaboration with Pricebaba, has leaked the launch timeline and key specifications of the Lava Agni 2 5G. Talking about the latter, the Lava Agni 2 5G will sport a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate.
It is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage that supports expansion via a microSD card.
For optics, the Lava Agni 2 5G could pack a triple rear camera unit, headlined by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with support for Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). For selfies, it is expected to feature a 16-megapixel sensor at the front.
It is also said to include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for Biometrics and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. It is said to carry a 5,000mAh battery with 44W Fast charging support.
Lava Agni 2 5G: Launch Timeline, Expected Price
As per the report, it is rumoured that Lava will unveil its latest 5G mid-ranger by mid-March or April this year. While there’s currently no information on the pricing of the Agni 2 5G, it is expected to cost between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000, based on the current range of Dimensity 1080-powered phones in the industry.
