iQOO Z7 series debuts; Moto G32 launched in a new variant in India

iQOO Z7 series has debuted in China with fast charging support, dual rear cameras, 120Hz displays, Snapdragon chips and more.

iQOO has debuted its Z7 series smartphones in China, which include the iQOO Z7 and the iQOO Z7x. The smartphones feature the same design with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a square-shaped camera module on the back. Meanwhile, Motorola launched a new 8GB variant of the Moto G32 in India. The Motorola smartphone debuted originally back last year.

iQOO Z7 Series: Price

The iQOO Z7 starts at CNY 1,599 (approx Rs 19,200) for the base 8GB + 128GB variant. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB options cost CNY 1,799 (approx Rs 21,600) and RMB 1,999 (approx Rs 24,000) respectively.

Meanwhile, the iQOO Z7x starts at CNY 1,299 (approx Rs 15,600) for the 6GB + 128GB option. The 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB configurations are priced at CNY 1,399 (approx Rs 16,800) and CNY 1,499 (approx Rs 18,000) respectively. The iQOO Z7 series is offered in Atomic Blue, Infinite Orange, and Space Black colourways.

iQOO Z7 Series: Specifications

The iQOO Z7 series smartphones have a 6.64-inch display with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout, an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, adaptive brightness, DC Dimming, and support for HDR10 as well. While the Z7 is powered by the Snapdragon 782G chipset, the Z7x has a Snapdragon 695 processor.

On the imaging front, the iQOO Z7 series sports dual rear cameras. The setup consists of a 64MP primary sensor with OIS and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 16MP selfie snapper on the device. The iQOO Z7x on the other hand, gets an 8MP selfie snapper and a 50MP primary sensor without OIS alongside a 2MP depth camera.

The iQOO Z7 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. The Z7x has a larger 6,000mAh battery with 90W speeds. The smartphones run on 13-based OriginOS 3.0 on the top. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC (only on Z7), and a USB-C port for charging.

Motorola launched the new 8GB + 128GB variant of its Moto G32 in India at a price of Rs 11,999. The sale for the new variant begins on March 22 via Flipkart and Motorola’s own website.

Moto G32 features a 6.5-inch LCD display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution. Further, the display comes with a 90Hz refresh rate, 405 PPI and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It packs the Snapdragon 680 SoC.

For photos and videos, the phone comes with a triple rear camera setup. It has a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens. There is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens. For selfies and video calls, the device uses a 16-megapixel front shooter.

As for software, the handset runs runs near-stock Android 12 out of the box. There’s a 5,000mAh battery with 33W TurboCharge technology. It includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. The phone also has face recognition support.

The phone also comes with ThinkShield mobile security and IP52 rating for dust and water resistance. Connectivity options on the phone include 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, v5.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, 3.5mm jack and a USB port.
