Realme is all set to ride the 5G bandwagon with its upcoming smartphone. Realme CEO has confirmed to The Mobile Indian that the company is working on a 5G smartphone.
Sheth revealed that the company will launch its 5G smartphone next year if the operators roll out the services. With this, the brand will also enter the premium smartphone segment with its upcoming smartphone. He also believes that some of the telecom operators will roll out the 5G services in India by next year. Sheth further asserted that the smartphone is currently in the testing phase.
With this, Realme will join the likes of Oppo, OnePlus, Samsung, Huawei and more with their 5G-based smartphones. We have already seen the above-mentioned brands along with Xiaomi, LG, and Motorola, which rolled out their 5G smartphones around the globe, though none of them has introduced the 5G model in India.
Samsung introduced its first 5G smartphone with Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy Fold. Samsung claims that with Galaxy S10 5G, users can witness 20 times faster speeds as compared to 4G networks. Huawei was another player that introduced its 5G smartphone with Huawei Mate X 5G and Mate 20 X 5G. The Mate X is the first smartphone from Huawei that not only support 5G networks but also it comes with foldable design. However, the smartphone is yet to be rolled out in the market.
Oppo was another player that introduced its first 5G smartphone with the launch of Oppo Reno 5G. OnePlus also introduced its first 5G smartphone with OnePlus 7 Pro 5G along with standard OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7. LG is also not behind and it introduced its LG V50 ThinQ 5G smartphone. The phone comes with a dual-screen accessory through which one use it with a second screen. Xiaomi also launched its Mi Mix 3 5G smartphone that comes with a sliding mechanism and it is the first from the company.
Recently, we have also seen some Chinese players that introduced 5G smartphones. Lenovo entered the 5G market with its Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G Edition, while Nubia introduced Nubia X 5G. ZTE also introduced its first 5G smartphone with Axon 10 Pro 5G.
