Lenovo launched its Lenovo Z6 Pro smartphone in China in April this year. Now at the ongoing MWC Shanghai, the company has announced a 5G variant of the device. However, the pricing and availability details of the Z6 Pro 5G Edition has not been revealed.
The Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G Edition has the same set of specifications as its non-5G variant, except that it has a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X50 Modem to enable 5G connectivity support. There is also a 5G logo beside the rear cameras at the back of the 5G Edition. It comes with a transparent back that shows its insides.
The Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G Edition features a 6.39-inch Samsung AMOLED FHD+ display with HDR10 support. It has waterdrop notch on the front and comes equipped with 2.84GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Processor with Adreno 640 GPU.
The new 5G Edition sports an AI quad rear camera setup with a combination of 48MP primary Sony IMX586 sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and other two 16MP and 8MP Sensors for ultra-wide-angle and telephoto zoom photos. On the front, it has 32MP single sensor which also supports face unlock feature. The phone has a sixth-generation screen photoelectric fingerprint sensor which claims to unlock the phone in 0.13 seconds.
The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie operating system with Lenovo’s ZUI 11 out of the box and gets is juices from a good 4000mAh non-removable battery with 27W super fast charging through a Dual USB-Type C port and also supports reverse charging. Connectivity options include Dual SIM, VoLTE, Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, NFC, and a 3.5mm Headphone jack.
Aside from the Z6 Pro 5G Edition, Lenovo at MWC Shanghai 2019 has also unveiled its 5G laptop. The laptop features a 14-inch display and it is powered by the Snapdragon 8cx SoC clocked at 2.75GHz. There is a Snapdragon X55 modem to support 5G networks. The rest of the specs are not announced.
