Samsung introduced its first 5G smartphone along with its next-generation of flagship smartphones during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019. Now, the company has announced the pricing and availability of the Galaxy S10 5G smartphone.
Samsung has revealed that the latest 5G smartphone will be available for purchase in Korea starting from April 05, 2019 and it will expand to additional markets afterwards. Coming to the price, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is priced at 1,397,000 KWR (approx. Rs 86,000) for the 256GB storage option, while the 512GB storage variant is priced at 1,556,500 KWR (approx. Rs 95,000). The smartphone will be available in Majestic Black, Royal Gold and Crown Silver colour options.
The major highlight of the smartphone is the support for 5G. The company claims that users will be able to enjoy roughly 20 times faster speeds as compared to 4G networks. With a 5G network, one can stream 4K videos, play graphics-intense cloud games, experience enhanced VR and AR experiences and more.
Jumping straight to the specifications, the Galaxy S10 5G is equipped with a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Processor and there will be another variant with latest Exynos chipset. The phone is backed by an 8GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of internal storage.
Another highlight of the smartphone is the four cameras at rear and two at front. Talking first about rear cameras, it is equipped with a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, PDAF and OIS coupled with a 12-megapixel Wide-Angle with Dual Pixel AF, OIS; a 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 Aperture and a 3D depth sensor. For the front, there is a 10-megapixel sensor with Dual Pixel AF, f/1.9 aperture, and a 3D depth sensor.
The phone runs on OneUI, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie update. It is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery along with super fast charging compatible on wired with QC 2.0, AFC and PD 3.0 along with fast wireless charging support. On the connectivity front, it supports 5G Sub6 / mmWave (28G, 39G), 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 4×4 MIMO, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS, USB 3.1, NFC, MST and Dual-SIM support. The phone measures 162.6 x 77.1 x 7.9 mm and weighs 198 grams.
