Coolpad will launch a new budget smartphone running on Android Nougat 7.0 operating system on June 16, which is dubbed as Coolpad Defiant. The smartphone was earlier rumoured to be T-Mobile exclusive , now T-Mobile and Coolpad have confirmed that Coolpad Defiant will be launched at T-mobile in the United States on June 16. Moreover, a MetroPCS launch is also set for sometime this summer. As of now, there is no information on its pricing but is expected to be a low-cost smartphone keeping in mind its specifications.
As far as expected specifications of Coolpad Defiant are concerned, it features a 5-inch (854×480 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor with Adreno 308 GPU. It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android Nougat 7.0 operating system backed up by 2450mAh capacity battery.
On the camera front, the Coolpad Defiant sports 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera. Besides, the smartphone offers all basic connectivity options like 2G/3G/4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS, Micro USB port, Bluetooth 4.1 and 3.5 mm jack.
