Hero Xtreme 200R price revealed for the Indian market

The company has priced the Xtreme 200R quite aggressively and it will surely give a stiff competition to the likes of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V that comes with a starting price of Rs 1.03 lakh (ex-showroom), Bajaj Pulsar NS200 that is priced at Rs 1.01 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model.

Hero MotorCorp recently took the wrap off from its latest motorbike, the Xtreme 200R. However, the brand did not reveal its price during the launch event. Now, the company has listed the latest bike on its official website that reveals the price of the upcoming motorbike.

As per the company’s official website, the ex-showroom price of the Hero Xtreme 200R is Rs 88,000. The bike has been listed for the northeastern states like Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and for West Bengal as well.

Talking about the Hero Xtreme 200R, it is powered by an air-cooled, single cylinder 199.6cc engine. It delivers 18.4 PS at 8000 RPM and 17.1 Nm at 6500 RPM. PS, for those who don’t know, is the term used to denote BHP or brake horsepower in bikes, instead of the more common BHP, used for cars.

The machine features a semi-digital instrument console, front and rear disk brakes with optional ABS (Anti Braking System), LED taillamps, tank pad to avoid scratches as the standard for all variants and improved graphics for a sporty feel. It is claimed to achieve 0 – 60 kph is just 4.6 seconds with top speed of 114 kph. The new Xtreme is suspended by telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear.

Inspired by the other street racer bikes in the Indian market, the 200R comes with an uplifted rear seating position and leans forward slightly at the front. It has 17-inch alloy wheels with 90 and 120-section tyres at front and rear respectively.
