The government is pushing hard to promote Electric Vehicles (EVs) in India to reduce pollution levels. It gives auto companies an excellent opportunity to take advantage of capturing the rapidly growing electric two-wheelers market in India. The government is committed to developing the infrastructure required for Electric Vehicles. It is ready to help companies set up their bases to manufacture EVs and their components in India.
As a result, the government has already enforced the FAME-II subsidy structure for electric vehicles in the country. Moreover, it is planning to install as many public charging stations as possible during the next decade. So, here we have compiled a list of the Top 20 cheapest Electric Scooters currently available in India, with most of them having a price range between Rs 37,000 – 1,20,000 (On Road-Price).
1TVS iQube
The iQube electric scooter comes at a base price of Rs 1,00,777 (on-road, New Delhi), with a booking amount of Rs 5,000. There’s an additional TVS SmartXHome home charging unit that can be purchased separately for Rs 11,238.
The TVS iQube packs a 2.25 kWh lithium-ion battery along with a 4.4 kW motor. The iQube EV has a top speed of about 78 kmph and it has a range of about 75 kilometres. The battery can be charged fully with the standard 5A charger in about 4-5 hours.
The electric motor develops an equivalent of 6 bhp and 140 Nm. The 0-40 kmph sprint is done is 4.2 seconds. The scooter has two riding modes including economy and power. It is available only in White colour.
2Simple One
The Simple One electric scooter was launched in India back in August at a price of Rs 1.10 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The Simple One electric scooter claims a 236km travel range from its 4.8kWh removable lithium-ion battery. It has a claimed range of 203km in Eco mode. Additionally, the company claims a top speed of 105kmph on the Simple One electric scooter.
Simple Energy claims that the battery of the scooter can charge to 80 per cent from zero in 2.75 hours from a typical home charger. The Simple One electric scooter comes with a claimed torque of 72Nm from its 4.5kW motor. The One electric scooter offers four riding modes Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic.
3iVOOMI S1 80
The S1 80 electric scooter by iVOOMI comes with a 1.5 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 80 km (IDC) on a single charge. The S1 80 gets a hub-mounted a 2.5 kW motor with a claimed top speed of 55 kmph. It has three riding modes – Eco, Rider and Sport. Colour options for the scooter include – Peacock Blue, Night Maroon, and Dusky Black. The sales for this scooter will begin from December 1, 2022 across its dealership network. It is priced at Rs 69,990.
4Ampere Zeal EX
The recently launched Ampere Zeal EX comes at a price of Rs 69,900 (ex-showroom) in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand and Rs 75,000 (ex-showroom) for the rest of India. The parent company of Ampere, Greaves Mobility, has also announced additional benefits worth Rs 6,000 when purchasing the Zeal EX before March 31, 2023.
The scooter sports a motor with 1.8kW peak power, which offers top speeds of up to 50-55kmph. Then there’s a 60V, 2.3 KWh Advanced Lithium Battery for a claimed ARAI range of 120kmph (under standard driving conditions).
Furthermore, the Ampere Zeal EX comes with drum brakes, front (telescopic) and rear (twin tube) suspension, and offers a maximum loading capacity of 150 kg. As for the charger, Ampere is bundling a 60V, 7.5A Li one that claims to charge the e-scooter fully in 5 hours.
5Ola S1x (2024)
The pricing of the new Ola S1x (2024) scooter starts at Rs 79,999. The S1x 2024 variant comes in seven different colours including red velocity, porcelain white, stellar, funk, midnight, vogue, and liquid silver.
Powering the S1X base trim is a 2kWh Lithium-ion battery with a 2.7kW motor. It gets a top speed of 85 kmph and a maximum true range of 85km. The base model has a 3.5-inch instrument console and supports three ride modes – eco, normal and sport. It also has a reverse mode and side stand alert. It has telescopic front forks and dual rear springs while there’s drum brakes at both front and rear along with CBS.
6Bounce Infinity E1
Bounce Infinity E1 is the first electric scooter from the Bengaluru-based startup ‘Bounce’. It is India’s first e-scooter that doesn’t necessarily come with batteries and therefore, doesn’t needs to be charged. This is because it is offered with a ‘battery as a service’ option where one will be able to swap out a battery for a new one from its network of battery stations for as low as Rs 35 per swap.
This e-scooter will be available to consumers starting at Rs 45,099 (Delhi ex-showroom), while they can pre-book it for a refundable amount of Rs 499 currently. Deliveries are slated for March 2022 via its dealership network and its online platform. You will also have an option to purchase the e-scooter along with the battery and charger so there’s no need for swapping. This option will cost you Rs 68,999 (Delhi ex-showroom).
The Bounce Infinity E1 comes with a warranty of 3 years or 40000 Kms, whichever comes first. It has a top speed of 65km/h and has regenerative braking system along with disc brakes for both front and rear. It packs a 2KWhr Battery that is IP67 rated waterproof. The e-scooter runs on 12-inch tubeless tires. It is available in a bunch of colours including one where the buyer can customize the colour and design as per their preference. Other colours include Black, Gray, Red, White and Silver.
7EeVe Soul Electric Scooter
EeVe has recently launched the new Soul e-scooter that has been priced at Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes based on the ‘European technology’ standards, claims the company. The e-scooter has a warranty of 3 years and packs advanced Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (LFP) swappable/detachable battery.
The battery should take approximately 3-4 hours to get fully charged. It has a top speed of 60km/h and full-charge range of 120km. Furthermore, the scooter comes with a bunch of smart features including smart features including IoT enabled, anti-theft lock system, GPS navigation, USB port, keyless experience, reverse mode, central braking system geo- tagging and geo-fencing.
8Rivot NX100
The company launched its first electric scooter NX100 through its event held on 23rd October 2023 in Bengaluru. This two-wheeler is Made in India and starts at Rs 89,000 (ex-showroom). The scooter will be available in five variants. The base variant will get a battery pack of 1,920Wh, and will have a claimed range of 100km. Other variants will get bigger battery packs of 3,840Wh and 5,760Wh, with a claimed range of 200km and 280km respectively. NX100 is equipped with 12-inch alloy wheels which are designed to be synonymous with the scooter.
9Indus Yo edge
The Indus Yo EDGE has a price tag of Rs 43,090 On-Road (Delhi Price) and comes with 250W BLDC Motor. It comes powered by 5x24Ah VRLA maintenance-free batteries (total weight 93kg) and has a top speed of 25kmph. The company claims that Indus Yo edge has a driving range up to 70km when fully charged. It measures 1,785 x 710 x 1,070 mm and weighs around 59kg. Yo Edge is capable of carrying a payload of 75kg.
Other features include Drum Brakes Front, Alloy Wheels, Tubeless Tyre, Front suspension – Dual telescopic fork, Rear suspension – Dual suspension, Front & Rear: 3-10 Tubeless tyres, LED Brake Light with LED rear side indicator. It comes in five colour options Grey, Blue, White, Red and Orange.
10Okinawa Raise
Okinawa Raise comes at a price tag of Rs 42,328 On-Road (Delhi Price). The Raise electric scooter comes loaded with a 48V/24Ah VRLA battery with a charging time of 4-6hrs and has a top speed of 25kmph. The company claims that it has a driving range of 60-66km/per charge. It measures 1725X695X1080mm and having a loading capacity of around 150kg.
It also has a Ground Clearance of 160mm and having boot space of 19ltr like Ridge 30. Other features include Front – Hydraulic Telescopic Rear – Double shocker with dual-tube technology, 3.00 – 10 Tubeless tyre (Front/Rear), Aluminium Alloy Wheel, E-ABS (Electronic – Assisted Braking System) with regenerative energy, Micro Charger with Auto Cut and Drum Brakes – Front and Rear.

11Gravton Quanta
The Gravton Quanta is an electric moped that runs on an electric powertrain. It has a chassis that can hold two battery packs and offers a claimed range of 320km. The Gravton Quanta has a 3kW BLDC motor that produces a max torque of 172Nm and has three riding modes, Eco, City and Sport. The EV is also fairly practical for a moped and can carry up to 250kg (including the driver). The Quanta electric moped has 17-inch alloy wheels, disc brakes and a sturdy suspension setup. The Quanta also has connected vehicle technology. It has a price tag of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom).
12Acer MUVI 125 4G
Acer recently announced that the ex-showroom price of the MUVI 125 4G vehicle is set at Rs 99,999. The scooter has a top speed of 75kmph and a range of 80km on a full charge. It gets a swappable battery pack and 16-inch wheels as well.
13Ujaas eGO
The Ujaas eGO is priced at Rs 34,880 (Ex-showroom Delhi) and comes equipped with a 250W Motor. It gets its power from a 48V-26Ah Lead Acid battery, which takes 6-7 hours to get fully charged. The company claims that it has a driving range of 60km when fully charged.
It comes with a Self-start Mechanism and has a storage capacity of approx 8kg. Other features include Digital Speedometer, Anti Theft Alarm, Telescopic suspension (Front), Hydraulic suspension (Rear) and Tubeless tyers with Alloy Wheels.
14Yulu Wynn
Yulu Wynn comes at an exclusive price of Rs 55,555 (ex-showroom) and can currently be pre-booked at just Rs 999 which is also fully refundable. After the introductory price offer is over, the Wynn electric scooter will be then available at Rs 59,999 (ex-showroom). The Wynn is being manufactured by CTL which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bajaj Auto.
It comes with several industry-first features such as truly-keyless access and instant family-sharing. Some other features include a swappable battery functionality which also allows the battery to be taken out and charged at home using a portable charger – also available for purchase as an accessory.

15e-Sprinto Rapo
The e-Sprinto Rapo starts at Rs 54,999 (ex-showroom) in India and measures 1840 mm in length, 720 mm in width, and 1150mm in height. It offers a ground clearance of 170mm and packs a Lithium/Lead battery that supports a portable Auto Cutoff charger.
It is backed by a 250W BLDC Hub Motor which is IP65 rated. The Rapo can achieve up to a top speed of 25 kmph and covers a mileage of 100 km on a full charge. It has a payload capacity of 150kg.
16Nisiki Poise Grace
The Poise Grace from Nisiki Technologies is priced at Rs 1,04,000 (ex-showroom) and will be available in five colours. It offers swappable battery setup that can further offer an extended range for the two EVs. The battery can be charged with 220V mains electricity indoors. It has a top speed of 55km/h and has features such as Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging ports, tubeless tires, an effective front and rear braking system, and enough legroom for the rider and passenger.
17Ather 450S
Ather recently has announced a Rs 20,000 price cut on its Ather 450S model, reducing the starting price of the electric scooter to Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom) in Bengaluru and Rs 97,500 (ex-showroom) in Delhi.
The Ather 450S packs a 2.9 kWh battery which provided an IDC range of 115 km. It is powered by a 5.4 kW motor which helps the scooter achieve 0-40 kmph in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 90km/h. You also get dual disc brakes. Charging the battery from 0-80 percent at home takes approximately 6 hours and 36 minutes. Other features of the scooter include Park Assist, Auto Hold, 22L boot space, mono-shock suspension, side-stand sensors, auto indicator cut-off, and even an incognito mode which can turn off location tracking.
The 450S also packs supports Emergency Stop Signal, where in a panic braking situation, ESS alerts the people around by activating the blinking of the tail light. The e-scooter has a 3-speed drive mode as well as reverse feature. You get features such as DRL, EBS, ATA System, and Smart Shift. The LED digital instrument cluster display provides an illuminating overview of various controls on the e-scooter. Keyless start, anti-theft alarm, a front glove box, light designer consoles are also some of the features included in the Greta Glide.
An added security feature is the Find My Vehicle Alarm. The black leatherette seat cover also serves to accentuate the looks of the e-scooter. 20PURE EV ePluto 7G Pro
The PURE EV ePluto 7G Pro was recently launched in India with a price tag of Rs 94,999. It packs an AIS 156-certified portable 3.0 KWH battery which also features a smart Battery Management System (BMS) with Mobile App accompanied by Bluetooth connectivity. It has a top speed of 60 KMPH and with Four Micro-Controllers.
The electric scooter is said to go from 0-40kmph speed in 5 seconds. The power is drawn from a 1.5 KW Motor with a 2.4 KW Motor Control Unit (MCU) and a CAN-based charger.
