Alongside the launch of Nokia 7.1, HMD Global unveiled the Nokia Nokia True Wireless Earbuds and the Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones; as a move to make users aware that the world is taking strides away from the traditional 3.5mm Headphone jack.
Nokia True Wireless Earbuds
Starting off with the more expensive Nokia True Wireless Earbuds, the audio device is Nokia’s answer to Apple AirPods, meant for portability. The earbuds, like they’re aptly named are truly wireless and thus, aren’t connected to each other through a wire. They weigh in at 5 grams each and come with a charging case.
The earphones in themselves offer 4 hours of audio playback and the charging case will be able to offer three charging cycles, totalling to up to 16 hours of battery on a single charge. The Nokia True Wireless Earbuds are splash and sweat resistant with an IPX4 rating.
Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones
The Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones, on the other hand, are neckband-style in-ear headphones where the two earphones are actually connected to a braided cable. Just like the OnePlus Bullet earphones, the Pro Wireless Earphones from Nokia boast of smart magnetic earbuds which can be snapped together when not in use. Nokia says any background music playback will be paused when the two earbuds stick with each other and separating them can be used to resume playback or to answer calls.
The earphones come with control buttons of their own which will let you power on/off, answer/end call, reject call, control volume and control track playback on the connected device. The Pro Wireless Earphone offer up to 10 hours of music playback on a single charge and has integrated vibrate alert for notifying a user about phone calls. Audio is delivered by Qualcomm’s aptX technology and the earphones are sweat and splash resistant as well.
The Nokia True Wireless Earbuds and Pro Wireless Earphones will be available for purchase for asking prices of 129 euros (approx. Rs 10,900) and 69 euros (approx. Rs 5,800).
