HMD Global is currently sending invites for an event In India on October 11 where they will showcase a brand new smartphone. The event will come precisely a week after HMD will be hosting a smartphone launch event on October 4 in London.
With an event of such magnitude, there’s a huge chance that the press invite is for the unveiling of the mid-range Nokia 7.1 Plus smartphone, which is expected to be the direct successor to the Nokia 7 Plus. What’s interesting is to note that the upcoming Nokia smartphone seems to be an important step for HMD because of the multiple global events which are now set to happen in India, London and Italy.
Upon its launching, the Nokia 7.1 Plus is expected to be the most powerful mid-range device unveiled by HMD with a Snapdragon 710 Processor and up to 6GB RAM, though there will be a cheaper 4GB RAM variant available. Earlier today, the device was spotted on TENAA with model number Nokia TA-1131, featuring a 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with a screen Resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels.

For optics, the Nokia 7.1 Plus or Nokia X7 will sport a 12-megapixel primary lens and 13-megapixel secondary sensor at the back. For the front, there will be a 20-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo and it will surely fall under Android One programme. It will sport a 3400mAh battery with fast charging support and connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS and USB Type-C port. The phone measures 154.8 x 75.76 x 7.97mm and weighs 185 grams.
