HMD Global is working on its upcoming flagship smartphone, which will be named as Nokia 9 PureView. The name has been confirmed by Roland Quandt of WinFuture.de on his Twitter handle.
From the past few months, we have been hearing rumours regarding the Nokia 9 as the next flagship smartphone from HMD. Now according to histweet, HMD Global upcoming flagship will be Nokia 9 PureView.
Nokia 9 Pureview. That’s the actual marketing name of what will come soon from HMD Global. (I know the bought the rights to the Pureview moniker, but can now confirm it’ll be part of the device name.)

A couple of months ago HMD Global acquired the PureView brand trademark. The brand was lent to Microsoft during the acquisition deal. PureView was purchased by Microsoft a few years ago when it purchased Nokia’s Devices and Services business. The Nokia 808 PureView was launched back in 2012 with a 41-megapixel camera, Now the latest information has confirmed that the next Nokia flagship will have Pureview branding with impressive camera features.
Meanwhile Nokia Malaysia’s Facebook page also today confirmed Nokia 9 PureView name. The post says “Coming soon. Nokia 9 with 5 Camera Zeiss Lenses & Pureview”.
The specifications of Nokia 9 PureView haven’t been revealed yet. As per rumours, the smartphone will have a primary 22MP camera. Earlier Leaked images have shown the alleged Nokia 9 phone with five rear cameras and Zeiss branding. Other rumoured specifications include a large 5.7-inch Quad-HD POLED screen, coupled with a Snapdragon 845 Chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone is also rumoured to be the first Nokia smartphone sporting an in-display fingerprint sensor.
