Google Play Games on PC updated with controller support, over 3000 games now available to play

Google Play Games on PC has now been updated with new games and features such as console controller support.

Google announced Play Games Beta for PC back in January of 2022 has been slowly expanding the service to more regions. As it continues to do so, the company has also announced a slew of new features coming to Google Play Games on PC, including controller support, new games, and more.

Gamers from all over the world have been playing their choice of mobile games on Windows 10 and 11 PCs, thanks to Google Play Games on PC. Google has added more than 3,000 games to the Google Play Games catalog, and it continues to add top requested games from the community members. The latest ones to join the list include the massively popular Clash of Clans and Clash Royale from developer Supercell.

These titles are now available to play on Windows 11 and Windows 10 PCs via Play Games for PC. Moreover, your in-game progress syncs no matter where you play – whether it’s on your mobile phone, Windows PC, or your Chromebook.

Next, Google has rolled out a search feature to help you easily and quickly find the games you’re looking for. In the “All Games” section, navigate to the search bar at the top and type in the name of the game you are looking for.

Next feature in line is console controller support for select games so players can enjoy an even more immersive gaming experience. Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One, PS5 DualSense or PS4 DualShock game controllers are supported with compatible games, such as Asphalt 9: Legends and BADLAND.

In addition, Google Play Games now offers up to screen resolution on supported monitors. Along with this change, players now have the option to select from a variety of screen resolutions that suit gameplay needs. They’ll have to press Shift + Tab in any game to select from a menu of supported resolutions.
