After rolling out the update to Poco F1, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi K20, Xiaomi has started seeding the MIUI 11 firmware to the Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Note 7S and Redmi Y3. The update on the Redmi Note 7, Note 7S andRedmi Y3 is based on Android Pie while the Redmi K20 Progets an upgrade to Android 10.
The update on the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S shifts the build number of the firmware to version MIUI 11.05.0.PFGINXM and weighs 712MB. In addition to features of MIUI 11, the update seeds the October 2019 Android security to both devices.
Unlike the update on the Redmi K20, the K20 Pro now gets Android 10 on top of MIUI 11. The update weighs in at 2.2GB and shifts the firmware to version MIUI V11.0.1.0.QFKINXM. MIUI 11 on the Redmi Y3 shifts the build number to versionMIUI 11.0.3.0.PFFINXM and weighs648MB. However, Redmi Y3 only getsAugust 2019 Android security updates.
To check for the MIUI 11 update on any of these three devices, open ‘Settings’ and head over to About phone > System update and then tap on ‘Check for updates’. The update is currently rolling out to a handful of users and it’ll be a while till it rolls out to a wider batch of Redmi K20 Pro, Note 7 and Note 7S owners.
MIUI 11 brings system-wide dark mode, dynamic themes for Always-on display, dynamic font scaling for changing character thickness and breathing notifications and custom messages on the lock screen. There are new sound effects inspired by the sounds of nature including animal, water and fire noises.
With the latest update, users will also get a Game speed booster, new icons, status bar and notification panel, 25 Indic languages inside Mint Keyboard, Mi Work office suite and Mi Share file sharing service.
