Xiaomi Mi Band 4 will have a bigger screen and color display, confirms company CEO

In the earlier teaser, the company claimed to have added more features in its upcoming fitness tracker with longer battery life.

As reported earlier, Xiaomi is all set to launch Mi Band 4 in China on June 11 at 14:00 PM. Now the company CEO has confirmed through its official Weibo handle, that the upcoming Mi Band 4 will have a bigger screen, an increase of 39.9% and will have a colour display, with more than 16,000 colours. Further, the Mi band 4 will have colourful personalized dial options.

In the earlier teaser, the company claimed to have added more features in its upcoming fitness tracker with longer battery life.

Last week,a couple of real-life images of the upcoming Mi Band 4 was spotted in the wild and earlier few key features were also leaked along with a rendered image of the band.

As per the earlier leaks and report, in upcoming Mi Band 4, the company is said to have removed the physical capacitive button this time, which means that the upcoming band would have touchscreen support and will support Xiao AI, the personal assistant. The Band 4 is said to support 5.0 connectivity as well. This time the band 4 said to feature (Heart Rate Monitoring) photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, which enables you to detect the blood volume in the microvascular bed of tissues. The battery capacity of Band 4 is also said to have increased from 110mAh to 135mAh and there will be no need to pull apart the band module when charging, instead, it can be directly placed in the charger.

Further, the Band 4 is expected to have two different variants, the band with model number XMSH08HM, have support for mobile payments and other without NFC, that would be the standard variant, which has a model number XMSH07HM. The NFC model is expected to be priced around 499 Yuan, while the standard model might cost between 200-300 Yuan.
