As reported earlier, Xiaomi is working on its next-generation of Mi Band, named Xiaomi Mi Band 4. Now the company has revealed the launch date of Xiaomi Mi Band 4 through its official Weibo handle. As per the teaser, the fourth generation of MI band will see the lights on June 11 and as will have a colour display, instead of Monochrome screens seen in previous Mi Bands. Moreover, as per post, the company claimed to have added more features in its upcoming fitness tracker with longer battery life.
Previously few key features were also leaked along with a rendered image of the band and last week we have also seen the real-life images of the upcoming band.
As per the earlier report, the next generation Band 4 will support Xiao AI, the personal assistant. The company is said to remove the physical capacitive button this time, which means that the Band 4 would have touchscreen support and will also say to support Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The company might go with (Heart Rate Monitoring) photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, which enables you to detect the blood volume in the microvascular bed of tissues. The battery capacity of Band 4 is said to have bumped up from 110mAh to 135mAh and there will be no need to pull apart the band module when charging, instead, it can be directly placed in the charger.
Further, the company is expected to launch the Band 4 in two different variants, the band having model number XMSH08HM, will support NFC for mobile payments, which will exclusive for the Chinese market and other without NFC, that would be the standard variant with model number XMSH07HM. The NFC model is expected to be priced around 499 Yuan, while the standard model might cost between 200-300 Yuan.
