While facing some serious competition in the market, Reliance Jio is now rolling out the Oppo Monsoon Offer offering cash back options worth Rs 4,900 for users purchasing a new Oppo device. Like the name suggests, Jio users using an Oppo smartphone will be able to redeem benefits of up to 3.2TB of 4G data during the course of the next 39 months.
The offer will be credited to a user’s account when being recharged with Rs 198 or Rs 299 plans on prepaid from June 25 through September 25 and will be available to all Oppo users, new or old, barring the buyers of the Oppo RealMe series. When being recharged with either of the above-mentioned plans, Jio will offer an instant cashback that’s worth Rs 1,800 in terms of benefits.
Jio will credit 36 vouchers of Rs 50 which will be accounted for when accessing the MyJio app. These vouchers can then be redeemed by the user when recharging the next time around, with the Rs 1,800 cashback available over three phases every 13 months. Users will thus receive Rs 600 after the 13th, 26th and 39th recharge as Jio Money credits.
Other benefits include discount coupons from MakeMyTrip worth up to Rs 1,300. While the offer won’t be redeemable if you buy a RealMe phone, it’s likely that Jio won’t make that mistake when Oppo launches its Find X phone in India next month.
The telecom operator has been facing some serious competition in terms of providing cheaper data as Airtel recently launched its Rs 649 postpaid plan offering up to 90GB data. State-run operator BSNL has also been ramping up their offering their own unlimited data postpaid plans, the most attractive of them being the Rs 1,999 a year plan.
