BSNL launches Rs 1999 plan offering 2GB Data Per Day, Unlimited Voice Calls for 365 Days

BSNL does not have services in metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai. The prepaid pack is currently valid only in the Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles and can only be availed between June 25, 2018 and September 22, 2018.

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has today announced the launch of Rs 1999 long term prepaid plan for its customers. The prepaid pack is currently valid only in the Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles.

According to a report by Telecom Talk, the state-run telecom operator new prepaid pack offers 2GB of data per day for a validity period of 365 days or 12 months. So in total, you will get 730GB for the whole validity period with per price of Rs 2.73. Apart from this, the operator is offering unlimited local, STD voice calls without any FUP limit and 100 SMS messages per day.

However, it is important to note that the unlimited voice calls will be only valid in circles where BSNL has its operations. For the unintended, the operator does not have services in metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai. So, in metro cities, users will be charged at standard rates. The pack can only be availed between June 25, 2018, and September 22, 2018.

The new BSNL pack competes with the Reliance Jio’s Rs 1,999 pack which offers a validity of just 180 days and a total of 125GB data without any daily FUP limit. It comes with unlimited local, national and calls along with 100 SMS per day. However, Jio VoLTE services are available pan India. Jio also offers a free subscription to its apps like JioTV, JioMovies, JioMusic and others and free JioTune service.

BSNL recently revised its range of prepaid plans with more data benefits. The company has revised Rs 14, Rs 29, Rs 40, Rs 57, Rs 78, Rs 68, Rs 82, Rs 85, Rs 155 and Rs 241 plans.
