Nokia 3 Android Oreo Beta update now rolling out

HMD Global is rolling out the update via the software beta program - Nokia Phones Beta Labs.

Nokia 3 is already confirmed to skip Android 7.1.2 Nougat update and directly receive Oreo update instead. Recently, Now HMD Global revealed that the Android Oreo Beta update for Nokia 3 is just around the corner and now the company has started rolling out Android 8.1 Oreo beta update for its Nokia 3 smartphone. The Oreo beta update for Nokia 3 has been announced by Juho Sarvikas, Chief Officer at HMD Global on his official twitter handle. The update is 1.6GB in size.

HMD Global is rolling out the update via the software beta program – Nokia Phones Beta Labs. So, if you are a member of the program, you can log in with the ID and request for the update over the air. Users can go to Settings> About Phone, to check for the latest update. If you are not a member, you can register for a new ID and then download the update.

Nokia 3 currently retails at around Rs 8,500 online in India and was earlier available through offline channels only. Later it was listed online on Croma (an electric store) as well as offline bookings. As far as specifications are concerned, Nokia 3 comes with 5-inch 2.5 D curved displays with protection. We get 1.3 GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MTK 6737 with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. Nokia 3 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and packs in a 2650 battery inside.

For the optics, we get a combination of 8-megapixel cameras on both front and back with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron size along with LED flash at the back and display flash at the front. For connectivity, we have (USB 2.0), USB OTG, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC for sharing. Apart from this, we get (G-sensor), ambient light sensor, e-compass, fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. The device measures at 143.4 x 71.4 x 8.48 mm.
