Coolpad Mega 5, Mega 5M, Mega 5C announced in India, price starts at Rs 3,999

Coolpad has announced the launch of three new smartphones under its Mega series in India, namely the Mega 5, Mega 5M and Mega 5C. The highlight of the launch will be the fact that all three Coolpad smartphones will available exclusively through offline multi-brand outlets across India. The new line of Coolpad Mega smartphones is available for a starting price of Rs 3,999.

Starting with the cheapest of the three devices, the Coolpad Mega 5M comes with a 5-inch HD display with 2 MP snapper on the front. The device is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and is paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of Internal Memory which is expandable to up to 32GB. The device equips a 5MP camera at the rear end for primary imaging and has 3 dedicated card slots. The Mega 5M packs in a 2,00mAh power unit and runs on an unspecified version of Android.

Next up is Coolpad Mega 5C. The phone comes with a 5.45-inch Full Vision HD+ display with face unlock and Android Oreo. The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Unlike the Mega 5M, the Mega 5C comes with a 5MP camera on the front and a larger 2,500mAh battery. The device, however, features the same 5MP rear camera and three dedicated card slots.

Lastly, the Coolpad Mega 5 is the most expensive of the lot and packs in a 5.7-inch Full Vision HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Mega 5 is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 quad-core processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. There’s a dual camera setup at the back which consists of a 13-megapixel sensor and a 0.3-megapixel lens. The front facing 5MP camera also supports face unlock to add to the security feature of the fingerprint sensor. The device is fuelled by a 3,00mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. The Mega 5 is available in Blue, Gold and Dark grey colour variants.

The Coolpad Mega 5, Mega 5C and Mega 5M will be available for asking prices of Rs 3,999, Rs 4,499 and Rs 6,999 and will be sold only through multi-brand outlets across India.
