The state-run telecom company BSNL reduced the price for its SIM card replacement charge by up to 50 percent in August this year. At that time, BSNL introduced a promotional offer for a period of 90 days from August 1, 2019, to October 31, 2019. Now the telecom operator has reduced the price permanently now.
As per a report of TelecomTalk, BSNL has revised the SIM replacement cost for both prepaid and postpaid users to Rs 50. The new change is already effective across all the telecom circles where BSNL is operating right now. Now the prepaid and post-paid users would need to pay Rs 50 for SIM card replacement, at any of the authorized BSNL centres.
Earlier this year, BSNL increased the SIM replacement charges from Rs 10 to Rs 100 which is valid for both prepaid and postpaid customers. And now, it has further reduced it again on a permanent basis.
Meanwhile, BSNL introduced Rs 108 prepaid plan for its customers recently. The BSNL Rs 108 plan offers unlimited voice calling and 1GB data per day post which the speeds will be reduced to 80 Kbps. The calling comes with a capping of 250 minutes daily after which users will be charged as per base tariff.
