Reliance Jio panicked the entire telecom industry in India offering free services to its subscribers, however, the free services will put to stop at the end of this month. Nevertheless, if you happen to have lost or damaged your Reliance Jio SIM, here is a nifty little trick which will allow you to suspend or resume your Reliance Jio number, instantly.
Step 1:Login to the official website of Reliance Jio network by visiting here.
Step 2:After logging in, locate the new option called ‘Suspend and Resume’ on the official website.
Step 3:Clicking on the ‘Suspend and Resume’ option will give you two options -SIM Damaged and SIM/Device Lost. Choose your particular cause of suspending the SIM.
Step 4:Post clicking one of the above-mentioned two options, the SIM gets suspended immediately. Note that, the Resume option will only be enabled once you have suspended your SIM card.
As of now, the new feature is only available on Reliance Jio’s official website, however, reports claim that the telecom operator will soon bring it to Reliance Jio’s official App as well. Given the increasing number of theft, this feature can actually people suspend their SIM instantly. For other network operators, you have to call the customer care number or visit a nearby store to verify and suspend your mobile number.
