Xiaomi has announced that some of its Mi LED TVs in India are receiving permanent price cuts following the latest modification by the Indian government to change the application of GST on TVs. Among the TVs receiving the price cut are the Mi LED Smart TV 4A 32, Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32 and Mi LED TV 4A Pro 49, all of which will be available for a lower price than before starting today.
The latest price drop announcement comes just two months after Xiaomi inflated the prices of its smartphones and Mi TVs. The older Mi LED Smart TV 4A which was released earlier last year, receives a Rs 1,500 price cut and is now available at Rs 12,499. The Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32 which debuted in the second half of 2018 will now be available for purchase for Rs 13,999, following a Rs 2,000 price cut.
Xiaomi says that it’s able to offer price-cuts on these two 32-inch TVs because of the recent decision by the Government of India wherein GST on TVs up to 32 inches have been reduced from 28 percent to 18 percent.
Budget TVs aside, Xiaomi has also slashed the price of its MI LED TV 4A Pro 49 which is now available at Rs 30,999 after a Rs 1,000 price cut. Xiaomi says this modification, however, is due to the recent dollar moderation. The TV was launched back in October for a price of Rs 29,999 soon after which Xiaomi hiked the price to Rs 31,999 following the rise in the gap between Rupee and Dollar during the month of November.

The Mi LED Smart TV 4A 32, Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32 and Mi LED TV 4A Pro 49 will be available in their new price across all online and offline platforms starting today.
