Xiaomi is expected to launch its much anticipated Mi 7 smartphone in the upcoming Mobile World Congress event (MWC) next month. As per a recent report, the company might launch Redmi Note 5 before Mi 7, and the Redmi Note 5 will be launching at the end of this month. Now, YouTube channel – Science and Knowledge has leaked renders of the alleged Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 smartphone.
The leaked renders show the smartphone with a bezel-less display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It shows the device with very thin top and bottom bezels. Alongside, it also shows the vertically-aligned dual rear cameras above a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Recently, the Xiaomi MEE7S and MET7S devices received 3C approval in China are rumoured to be the two variants of the RedmI Note 5.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is said to have a 5.99-inch Full HD (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. A 2.0GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor runs the phone with the help of 3GB/4GB RAM. It offers 32GB/64GB internal storage. This 4G smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with MIUI 9 on top of it and is backed up by a 4000 mAh Li-Polymer battery. The smartphone will also carry support for facial recognition.

The smartphone will have a dual camera setup of 16-megapixel primary and 5-megapixel secondary rear camera, and on the front, it will have an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies. On the connectivity front, the device supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS and Dual-SIM support.
As far as pricing is concerned, the Redmi Note 5 is said to be priced at 1,499 Yuan (approx. Rs 15,037) for 3GB RAM and 1,799 Yuan (approx. Rs 18,050) for 4GB RAM variant.
