Xiaomi Poco F1 seeded with MIUI 9.6.22 update

The latest update to Poco F1 is available for all users on the global stable MIUI ROM. Labelled as MIUI 9.6.22, the latest package brings the face unlock feature to more regions other than. India and gives users the ability to uninstall Mi Roaming app, which comes preinstalled with the device.

Last week, Xiaomi’s latest Poco F1 smartphone received the first Global MIUI 10 Beta update and now the flagship device is being rolled out with a stable build of MIUI 9.6.22 that brings a few additions as well as system optimisations.

The latest update to Poco F1 is available for all users on the global stable MIUI ROM. Labelled as MIUI 9.6.22, the latest package brings the face unlock feature to more regions other than. India and gives users the ability to uninstall Mi app, which comes preinstalled with the device.

Weighing in at 1.6GB, the update is also available as a full recovery ROM in addition to an update. There are also some minor tweaks which can be noticed in the status bar which is now higher on top and there’s also a significant improvement in the voice call quality. The latest stable update to the Poco F1 brings with the August 2018 batch of security updates

Considering this is a phased rollout, it’ll be a while till MIUI 9.6.22 finds its way to all Poco F1 units.

Previously, Xiaomi confirmed that the Poco F1 featured Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 and P2i splash resistance. The company recently also started selling Poco F1 skins on both Flipkart and Mi.com.

To recall, the Xiaomi Poco F1 smartphone was launched in India last month at a starting price of Rs 20,999. The device comes with a 6.18-inch full display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass and a resolution of 2246×1080 pixels. It runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI on top with POCO launcher and the company has also promised to roll out Android Pie update to Poco F1 by the year-end. For hardware, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with up to 8GB RAM. The smartphone is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.
