Post a recent price cut, Xiaomi’s Poco F1 smartphone is currently available for as low as Rs 17,999. The Poco F1 is now receiving a new software update with a new Android security patch, optimisations and fixes.
The latest update on the Poco F1 shifts the build number of the device to MIUI 10.3.6.0, bearing the same version that was seeded to the Redmi K20 last week. Amongst the changes, the Poco F1 will now feature the June 2019 batch of Android security updates for better system security.
MIUI 10.3.6.0 on the Poco F1 also optimises the pocket mode when in the lockscreen. The update also fixes a part of the notifications where the lockscreen didn’t always light up when a notification is received.
In order to check for the latest updates, one can go to Settings > About Phone > System Update.
The latest update comes a month after the Poco F1 received the MIUI v10.3.5.0 update with customizable lockscreen clock, May 2019 security and some optimisations. Previously, Poco Global Head Alvin Tse confirmed that the Poco F1 will be updated to Android Q.
The Poco F1 is currently on sale on Mi.com as part of the Poco Days Sale till July 31. Users can buy all variants of the Poco F1 at reduced prices except for the base 6GB+64GB model which still sells for Rs 17,999.
The top-end Poco F1 model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage can be bought for as low as Rs 22,999. Users can also purchase the Poco F1 Armoured Edition with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for Rs 23,999 instead of its original price of Rs 28,999.
The 6GB+128GB version of the Poco F1 can be bought for Rs 18,999 during the sale period, down from its previous price of Rs 20,999. The Armoured Edition of the 128GB model will come for a price of Rs 19,999 instead of Rs 23,999.
