Redmi K20 receives MIUI 10.3.6 update in India

Redmi K20 ran MIUI 10.3.3 with May Android security patch when it was launched in India.

Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro were launched in India recently. Now Redmi K20 has received a software update in India. The company has started rolling a new update with version number 10.3.6 to Redmi K20 and it brings security patch for June 2019 as well.

To recall, the Redmi K20 ran MIUI 10.3.3 with May Android security patch when it was launched in India. The new update fixes a couple of issues associated with the notification behaviour and the screen.

It also added the fix for the display of incorrect call duration in the Game Turbo mode. Moreover, another software issue that caused the screen to erratically turn off in certain cases has also been fixed. Apart from this, it also optimises the camera beautification features.

The MIUI 10.3.6 stable update is 471MB in size and is now available to download for Redmi K20 users in India. In order to check for the update, users can go to Settings > About Phone > System Update.

To recall, the smartphone comes in two variants – 6GB + 64GB storage for Rs 21,999 and 6GB RAM + 128GB for Rs 23,999. It features a 6.39-inch Full AMOLED Horizon Display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 600nits brightness, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and DC dimming. The screen is protected with 5 protection.

The Redmi K20 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 along with Adreno 616 GPU. The phone is backed by a 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the phone features a triple-camera setup with 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor, a 13-megapixel lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. For the front, it has a 20-megapixel selfie shooter.
