Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20 with in-display fingerprint sensor, pop-up selfie camera launched in India

Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 are the first from Xiaomi in India that sports an in-display fingerprint sensor and pop-up selfie camera. Both the phones come with a triple-camera setup.

Xiaomi has today announced the launch of its new K-series in India. The company has introduced the Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 in the country. The Redmi K20 Pro comes with a price tag of Rs 27,999 for the 6GB + 128GB of internal storage, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at Rs 30,999. The Redmi K20 is available with 6GB RAM + 64GB storage for Rs 21,999 and 6GB RAM + 128GB for Rs 23,999.

The Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 will be available from Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores starting from July 22. The company is offering Rs 2,000 cashback for users who opted for Redmi K20 Alpha sale. Airtel users will get double data benefit on the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. The brand has also announced the launch of Mi neckband wireless headband for Rs 1,599 and it will be for purchase from July 23.

The company has also introduced Redmi K20 Pro Signature Edition, which is made with pure gold and diamond. The company will introduce 20 limited editions of the new edition. The brand is yet to finalise the price, but it has revealed that the phone comes with a making price of Rs 4.8 Lakhs.

The Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 come in three different colour options including Flame Red, Glacier Blue, and Carbon Black. These are the first smartphones from Xiaomi in India that sports an in-display fingerprint sensor and pop-up selfie camera. Both the phones come with a triple-camera setup.

Both the smartphones are loaded with a 6.39-inch Full AMOLED Horizon Display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 600nits brightness, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and DC dimming. The screen is protected with 5 protection.

The Redmi K20 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 along with Adreno 640 GPU. The phone is backed by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage with no option to expand the storage.

On the camera front, the Redmi K20 Pro features a triple-camera setup with a combination of 48-megapixel primary lens with Sony IMX 586 sensor, f/1.75 aperture, laser autofocus, PDAF along with 13-megapixel lens 124.8-degree field of view and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.

The Redmi K20 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor along with Adreno 616 GPU. The phone is backed by a 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the phone features a triple-camera setup with 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor, a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. For the front, both the smartphones are equipped with a 20-megapixel selfie shooter.

Both the phones are loaded with a 4000mAh battery and the company has bundled an 18W fast charger as well. The Redmi K20 Pro also supports 27W support. On the connectivity front, both of them supports USB Type C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, VoLTE, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, 5.0, and Dual with dual standby. The phones measure156.7x 74.3x 8.8mm and weigh 191 grams.
