After being rolled out with a beta build to add the Game Turbo mode on the phone, the Xiaomi Poco F1 is now receiving a stable package which adds a slew of new features to the Snapdragon 845-powered smartphone.
The Poco F1 is now receiving the MIUI 10 v10.3.4.0 stable update which finally brings the much anticipated Widevine L1 support to the smartphone, which was earlier rolled out as a beta update. Widevine L1 support is what will enable the Poco F1 to play HD videos on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hotstar.
MIUI 10.3.4.0 also adds a feature onto the camera of the device which is 4K video recording at 60 fps frame rate, which was also seeded as a beta update last month.
Xiaomi has also added a new Game Turbo mode to the Poco F1 which was released as beta at the end of March but has quickly been added to the stable build. Game Turbo intelligently allocates resources for when running complicated scenes inside games. It will also offer various shortcuts including gestures when swiping from different edges. The shortcuts can be configured to take screenshots, clear RAM, toggle Wi-Fi on or off, switch data connectivity across two SIMs and open apps on floating windows.
The latest stable update comes just a month after the Poco F1 received the MIUI 10.2.3.0 stable update and this time it adds the March 2019 Android Security update. Additional features include a new face unlock support, new AI camera modes and a bunch of fixes to the system.
The MIUI 10.3.4.0 stable update on the Poco F1 weighs in at 515MB and is already available to Poco F1 users but will reach a larger audience in the coming days. Head over to Settings > About Phone > System Update and tap on “Check for updates” to see if the stable package has reached your device.
