Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 to come with AI face recognition, pricing also leaked

Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 will come in two variants - 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage supporting only Wi-Fi connectivity and an LTE variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Xiaomi is all set to launch its latest tablet – Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 at its event on June 25. Now ahead of launch, pricing details of Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 have leaked online. Alongside, the company has also posted on its official Weibo account to reveal that the tablet will feature face unlock technology.

As per the pricing leaked via Slashleaks, Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 will come in two variants – 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage supporting only Wi-Fi connectivity which will be priced at 1499 Yuan which is approximately Rs 15,618. And an variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which will cost you 1999 Yuan which is approximately Rs 20,835.

The post on Weibo has confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 will be arriving with AI driven facial recognition feature. It shows that the tablet will not come with a fingerprint reader but only facial recognition technology. So Mi Pad 4 will allow users to unlock by just looking at the screen.

Xiaomi just recently confirmed that the Mi Pad 4 will come with 8-inch display and Snapdragon 660 SoC. As per earlier reports, the Mi Pad 4 will come powered by the latest mid-range processor from Qualcomm which is the Snapdragon 660, clocked at around 2.0GHz. It is expected that Xiaomi will retain 4GB of RAM and 64GB of from the Mi Pad 3.

For imaging, the Mi Pad 4 might come with a 13-megapixel OmniVision OV13855 camera and a 5-megapixel Samsung S5K5E8 front-facing snapper for selfies and video calling. The device is expected to come with MIUI 10 out of the box with 8.1 Oreo underneath, all of which is powered by a massive 6,000mAh battery.
