Xiaomi Mi Max 3 retail box shared by CEO, launch imminent?

The retail box of Xiaomi Mi Max 3 does not reveal much details regarding the hardware specs for the upcoming smartphone. One can see a Mi branding at the top right corner, and “Max 3” written in gold in a larger font on the left side at the bottom. There is also Mi Max 3 written on the side of the retail box.

Xiaomi Mi Max 3 which will be a successor of Mi Max 2 is expected to be launched sometime later this month. Now ahead of the launch, the company’s CEO Lei Jun has shared an image showing the retail box of Xiaomi Mi Max 3 on Weibo. Alongside the image, he has also hinted that the phone could be launched earlier than expected.

The retail box, however, does not reveal much details regarding the hardware specs for the upcoming smartphone. One can see a Mi branding at the top right corner, and “Max 3” written in gold in a larger font on the left side at the bottom. There is also Mi Max 3 written on the side of the retail box. The size of the box hints that the Mi Max 3 will be a large sized smartphone in terms of size and display.

Recently the pricing details of the Mi Max 3 were leaked. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 6GB and 128GB storage variant will come with a price tag of 1,699 Yuan in China which is approx. Rs 17,600. The Mi Max 3 is also likely to come in a cheaper variant of 4GB and 64GB internal storage.

As per earlier reports, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will feature a massive 6.99-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is expected to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 with4GB and 6GB RAM. After the recently launched, Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, the Mi Max 3 will be the second phone from Xiaomi to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset.

For the camera, the smartphone will feature a dual camera setup with 20-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor. However, there is no information on the secondary sensor as well on the front camera of the phone. It will run on 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 and will be backed up by 5,500mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0’s 18W fast charging.
