Xiaomi Mi Explorer Program for Redmi K20 series may be announced on 20 June

Earlier today, Xiaomi India MD, Manu Kumar Jain, announced through its official Twitter account that the fastest phone in the world (Redmi K20 Pro) launching in India in just 4 weeks, which is the follow-up Tweet, where he announced that the phone will debut in India in the next six weeks.

Redmi India has tweeted a teaser showing the Astronauts exploring space. The twitter post reads “Mi fans, are you ready for a mission? One that will take you on an unexplored journey that you always wished for. Check this space tomorrow for more. RT if you know what’s in store.” This hints towards the Mi Explorer Program for upcoming Redmi K20 series and company might announce the date for the program tomorrow.

As a part of explorer program, Xiaomi gives the smartphones they are going to launch to the shortlisted Mi Fan well in advance so that they can explore the device before others can lay their hands on it and at the same time take up challenges shared by Xiaomi.

Xiaomi India is all set to launch its upcoming flagship Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi k20 smartphones in India soon. Earlier today, Xiaomi India MD, Manu Kumar Jain, announced through its official Twitter account that K20 Pro will we launched in India in next 4 weeks. Two weeks back Manu had said that the phone will debut in India in the next six weeks.

The latest Twitter posts read “One step at a time, one punch at a time, & one round at a time. Let’s do it, guys. Let’s show them how it’s done. 4 weeks to go! #RedmiK20 #RedmiK20Pro.

A couple of days back, the company had also posted a teaser image on its official Twitter account, claiming Redmi K20 Pro smartphone as the “The World’s Fastest Phone” with Antutu score of 388,803.

Just to refresh, the Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 were launched in China last month. Redmi K20 Pro comes in four Variants- 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage variant is priced at 2,499 Yuan, 6GB of RAM with 128 of storage is priced at 2,599 Yuan, 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage will cost 2799 Yuan, while for 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage one has pay 2,999 Yuan. On the other hand, Redmi K20 has two different variants, the 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage is priced at Yuan 1,999, while the 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage costs Yuan 2,099.

As far as specification of Redmi K20 Pro are concerned, it features a 6.39-inch AMOLED full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display with an in-display fingerprint sensor, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm chipset, 4000mAh battery with 27W support, has a triple rear camera setup with a combination of Sony IMX586 48MP ultra-clear primary sensor with f/1.75, a 13-megapixel secondary super wide-angle sensor with f/ 2.4 and an 8-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the smartphone carries a 20-megapixels pop-selfie module with a sapphire lens cover that can rise in 0.8 seconds, runs Pie with MIUI on top. Connectivity options include USB Type C port, 3.5mm jack, NFC, VoLTE, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, and Dual with dual standby.

While, Redmi K20 features a 6.39-inches Samsung’s AMOLED Full display, an in-display fingerprint sensor, powered by a Snapdragon 730 8nm processor, Adreno 618 GPU, 4000mAh battery and 18W fast charging. For the optics, the smartphone has a triple rear camera setup with a combination of Sony IMX582 48MP ultra-clear primary sensor, a 13-megapixel secondary sensor and an 8-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the smartphone carries an 20-megapixels pop-selfie module. Connectivity options include USB Type C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, VoLTE, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, and Dual Nano SIM with dual standby.
