Xiaomi teases Redmi K20 Pro as ‘World’s Fastest Phone’

The tweet carries an image which calls the Redmi K20 Pro the world's fastest phone.

Xiaomi India has teased the launch of its upcoming flagship Redmi K20 Pro smartphone. The company has posted a teaser image of Redmi K20 Pro on its official Twitter handle calling it “The World’s Fastest Phone”.

With the teaser image, Xiaomi has already taken a dig at OnePlus 7 Pro by tweeting, “Some celebrations are short-lived. Stay tuned.” Alongside the text, the tweet carries an image which calls the Redmi K20 Pro the world’s fastest phone.

The tweet, however, does not reveal any exact launch date of the Redmi K20 Pro but Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain last week revealed on Twitter that the Redmi K20 Pro, alongside the Redmi K20, will debut in India in the next six weeks. So it is expected that the phones will be available in the country by mid-July. In a latest tweet, the company has also posted an Antutu score of 388,803 for the Redmi K20 Pro smartphone.

Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro were launched in China late last month. It is priced Yuan 2499 (around Rs 25,000) for the base 6GB and 64GB version, 6GB RAM and 128GB version is priced at Yuan 2599 (around Rs 26,000), the 8GB RAM and 128GB version costs Yuan 2799 (around Rs 28,000), while the premium 8GB RAM and 256GB version is priced at Yuan 2999 (around Rs 30,000).

The Redmi K20 Pro features a 6.39-inch AMOLED full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm chipset, 4000mAh battery, and 27W support.

For the optics, the K20 Pro smartphone has a triple rear camera setup with a combination of Sony IMX586 48MP ultra-clear primary sensor with f/1.75, a 13-megapixel secondary super sensor with f/ 2.4 and an 8-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the smartphone carries a 20-megapixels pop-selfie module with a sapphire lens cover that can rise in 0.8 seconds. The company claims that the pop-up camera module has a lifespan of 300,000 cycles.

Redmi K20 Pro runs Pie with MIUI on top. Connectivity options include USB Type C port, 3.5mm jack, NFC, VoLTE, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, and Dual with dual standby.
