Xiaomi has today announced the launch of its latest smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 6X in China. The smartphone will be available in five colour options including Red, Gold, Rose Gold, Blue and Black. The phone comes with price tag of CNY 1,599 (approx. Rs16,908) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option, CNY 1,799 (approx. Rs 19,023) for the 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage option, CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs 21,138) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage option.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X features a metallic unibody and it comes loaded with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 2160 × 1080 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and it will be available in three variants: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage; 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
On the camera front, the device features a dual-camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel primary lens with f/1.75 aperture and 1.25-micron pixel size, Sony IMX486 sensor along with a secondary 20-megapixel with f/1.75 aperture and 2-micron pixel size, Sony IMX376 sensor. The smartphone comes with AI integration as well that will enhance the photos clicked by the users. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel shooter with Sony IMX376 sensor and LED flash.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is backed by a 3010 mAh battery and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with company’s latest MIUI. Interestingly, this is Xiaomi’s first smartphone that ditches 3.5mm audio jack in favour of USB Type-C port. There is a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. On the connectivity front, it supports, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, dual-SIM, GPS and USB Type-C port.
