Xiaomi has scheduled a launch event on April 25 in China in which the company will announce the much in leaks Xiaomi Mi 6X aka Mi A2 smartphone. There have been multiple reports of Mi 6X to have Snapdragon 626 or Helio P60 or Snapdragon 660 chipset. Now a retail box has been leaked online which has confirmed the Xiaomi Mi 6X will have Snapdragon 660 chipset.
Along with information on the processor, the leaked retail box has also revealed a few key specifications and features of the upcoming handset. It shows that Mi 6X will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 chip and a dual-rear camera setup of two 20-megapixel sensors. The front camera is also shown to be having a 20-megapixel sensor. Moreover, it shows USB Type-C dongle for a 3.5mm audio port which hints that the device will lack a traditional Headphone jack.
Recently, a promotional video surfaced online teasing the Xiaomi Mi 6X. It confirmed that the Mi 6X will feature a dual rear camera setup aligned vertically on the top left corner. The rear side of the phone in the video showed the presence of a fingerprint scanner. The end of the video showed the camera configuration for Xiaomi Mi 6X revealing that the smartphone will have a 20-megapixel camera on the rear and front side.
Earlier the company on Weibo has confirmed that the Mi 6X will be available in 5 colour options. The colour options of the Xiaomi Mi 6X are Cherry Powder, Red Flame, Sand Gold, Glacier Blue and Black Stone.
Recently a report confirmed the existence of Xiaomi Mi 6X smartphone. It said the M1804D2SC model spotted on TENAA is the Mi 6X, where the ‘C’ stands for China. Alongside, the report also revealed its key specs through its new firmware files.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 clocked at a maximum 2.0GHz rather than the standard 2.2GHz. It will come with a dual rear camera of a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 primary sensor with f/1.8 Aperture and a secondary 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor with f/1.8 aperture. On the front, there will be a Sony IMX376 (20MP) with f/2.2 aperture and a front-facing flash. The phone will also support for 4K video recording @30fps. The smartphone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI out-of-the-box and will be backed by a 2,910mAh battery. The phone will be 7.3mm thick and 165mm tall.
The Mi 6X will come in three variants – 4GB RAM with 32GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 64GB storage. It is expected to come with a 5.99-inch LCD display with full HD display with 2160 × 1080 pixels Resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.
