Xiaomi is seeding Mi Pad 4 with MIUI 10 beta

MIUI 10 Global beta comes in at 1.21GB with all the new features that are tagged alongside the latest MIUI 10, like a redesigned UI allowing users to navigate through gestures and swiping actions. The Mi Pad 4 now joins the eight Xiaomi devices that are compatible with the company’s latest Global 8.7.5 Beta.

Xiaomi unveiled the MI Pad 4 at the end of last month with an 8-inch Full HD display and Face Unlock but what it missed out on was the MIUI 10 interface that was announced in May. While the device came with MIUI 9 out of the box, the Chinese manufacturer is now gearing up for the global rollout of MIUI 10 on Mi Pad 4 as it a beta edition makes its way to the device.

Dubbed with a version number 8.7.5, the MIUI 10 Global beta comes in at 1.21GB with all the new features that are tagged alongside the latest Xiaomi software. MIUI 10 will thus come with a redesigned allowing users to navigate through gestures and swiping actions. But, it’s unlikely whether the gesture mode will be seeded for the Mi Pad 4 considering it won’t be as easy to use the same on a larger screen.

The Mi Pad 4 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 with configurations of up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The device comes with an 8-inch IPS panel that has a of 1920 x 1200 pixels. There’s a 13MP rear camera for primary imaging while the 5MP sensor on the front takes care of your selfies and video conferencing worries.

The Mi Pad 4 now joins the eight Xiaomi devices that are compatible with the company’s latest Global 8.7.5 Beta which is five days old. The Chinese manufacturer has made it clear that at least 30 devices will be rolled out an update to the latest interface by August.

The Mi Pad 4 upon its launch started for an asking price of 1099 yuan (approx. Rs 11,350) while the most expensive LTE-enabled variant comes in at 1499 yuan (approx. Rs 15,500).
