Vodafone Idea has launched a Rs 1,499 Prepaid plan for its customers with a long term validity of 365 days. Recently BSNL also launched a long term plan of Rs 1,312 for its prepaid customers.
As per a report of Telecom Talk, Idea Cellular has introduced the Rs 1,499 prepaid recharge in more than ten circles like Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Kolkata, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh and so on while Vodafone is offering the plan in less than five circles like Mumbai, Karnataka among other 4G circles.
The Rs 1,499 plan offers unlimited calling without any cap, 1GB data per day for 365 days and 100 SMS per day. So, the plan offers in total 365GB of data for the whole validity period.
The Vodafone Idea Rs 1,499 plan competes with Reliance Jio Rs 1,699 prepaid pack which also comes with 365 days validity. The Jio plan offers 1.5GB of 4G data per day, unlimited voice calling without any cap and 100 SMS per day for its validity period. Jio plan also gives access to Jio suite of apps including JioCinema, JioSaavn Music and more.
The Jio plan is a better plan, as it offers 547.5GB of 4G data in comparison to just 365GB of data offered by Vodafone Idea for the entire validity period. But Jio plan is Rs 200 costlier than the Vodafone Idea plan.
