Vivo Y93 with Helio P22 and dual rear cameras launched in India

The Indian Vivo Y93 is powered by a MediaTek chipset instead of a Qualcomm processor which is present in Chinese variant of Vivo Y93.

Just after being listed on Vivo’s official website some days back, the Vivo Y93 has now been launched in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 13,990 and is available for purchase through Vivo’s official online store, Amazon India and retail stores across the country. Vivo Y93 is available in Starry Black and Nebula Purple colours.

The Vivo Y93 launched in India differs from the budget-centric phone that was released in China in November. The Indian Vivo Y93 is powered by a MediaTek instead of a Qualcomm processor which is present in Chinese variant of Vivo Y93 along with minor variations.

The Vivo Y93 Indian version features a 6.22-inch display with a of 1520×720 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 88.6 percent.

The Vivo Y93 is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The phone has 4GB of and 32GB of onboard storage. It also features a fingerprint scanner at the back.

For optics, the Vivo Y93 is equipped with a dual-camera setup that comes with a combination of 13-megapixel (f/2.2) primary lens and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) secondary shooter with flash. For the front, the company has added an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with f/1.8 aperture.

The Vivo Y93 is backed up by 4,030mAh battery and it runs on 8.1 Oreo with FunTouch OS 4.5. Connectivity options include Dual VoLTE, WiFi, 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, FM Radio, and 3.5mm Audio Jack. The Y93 measure at 155.11 x 75.09 x 8.28 mm and weighs in at 163.5 grams.
