After launching Vivo Y3’s new variant bearing 4GB RAM and 64GB storage last week in China, Vivo has now launched the toned-down version of the Vivo Y3 smartphone, which is named as Vivo Y3 Standard Edition. The phone is now available for purchase through Vivo’s Chinese website at a price tag of Yuan 999 (approximately Rs 10,036). The phone comes in two color options- Ink Blue and Jade Red.
Last month, the press renders and key specifications of Vivo Y3 Standard Edition were also leaked online.
The Vivo Y3 Standard Edition comes equipped with an AI dual rear camera setup with 13-megapixel as a primary sensor with PDAF, F/2.2 and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with F/2.4 alongside an LED flash. On the front, it carries an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Camera features include HDR, beauty, panorama, professional mode and portrait bokeh.
It has a 6.35-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1544×720 pixels, a 19.3:9 ratio and has a waterdrop notch design. It comes loaded with an Octa-core Snapdragon 439 processor with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, with an option to expand the storage up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone comes with the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and also has a face unlock feature. The phone also has a dedicated Jovi Voice Artificial Intelligence Assistant button and comes loaded with a game box, with background hang-up and e-sports mode 2.0 for the better gaming experience.
The Vivo Y3 Standard Edition gets its power from a 5000mAh non-removable battery with intelligent AI power-saving technology and will run on Android 9.0 Pie based on Funtouch OS 9.1. Connectivity options include VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Micro-USB port, 3.5mm Headphone jack, etc. Further, the device will measure 159.43 × 76.77 × 8.92mm and weighs 191.5 grams. Other features include SOS security guard, Jovi Wisdom Features and Jovi wisdom map.
