Vivo X23 with 10GB RAM to be unveiled on August 20

The news comes as a screenshot shared by a Chinese blogger who asked Vivo’s AI voice assistant Jovi if there are any new and upcoming products from the company to which Jovi replied by asking whether the user wants to know about the Vivo X23. Jovi also revealed that “something big will happen” on August 20.

A conversation between a user and Vivo’s Jovi assistant has now confirmed that the company’s next flagship Vivo X23 will be unveiled on August 20. Being a successor to the X21, the device will be expected to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and for the first time 10GB worth of RAM.

The news comes as a screenshot shared by a Chinese blogger who asked Vivo’s voice assistant Jovi if there are any new and upcoming products from the company to which Jovi replied by asking whether the user wants to know about the Vivo X23. The user further asked about the release date of the X23 and that’s when Jovi revealed that “something big will happen” on August 20.

Vivo hasn’t gotten an official word yet but it appears that their assistant Jovi knows more about the company than its officials. Or maybe it could be the company’s way of feeding leaks. Who knows? As of now, two things are clear, there’s a launch event on August 20 and the Vivo X23 does indeed exist.

Vivo X23

When made a reality, the X23 will succeed the Vivo X21 which was launched earlier this year as a flagship with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device will rival Oppo’s latest R17 which was launched yesterday with an in-display scanner of its own.

There are doubts whether the device will be powered by the more powerful Snapdragon 710 chip or the newer Snapdragon 670 but several reports do indicate an inclusion of a dual channel 4GB + 6GB RAM. This will surely make the X23 the first device to feature 10GB of RAM.

With a date set for the launch, we’ll know more about the Vivo X23 as we approach August 20, since an official confirmation is highly likely now.
