As part of its partnership with FIFA for the World Cup events in Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022, Vivo launched its X20 FIFA World Cup Edition back in December 2017. The successor to the X20 which got released earlier this year also makes its way adorning two fancy shades as Fifa World Cup Edition.
The Vivo X21 which was announced with an in-screen fingerprint scanner and a Qualcomm AIE Chipset will now be rocking Tibetian Blue and Victory Red variants. The two variants show significance to the Blue and Red colors in the Russian flag. Also inscribed at the back of the special edition X21 device is the Fifa World Cup 2018 logo.
Visual changes aside, the Vivo X21 World Cup Edition still comes with a dual 12MP + 5MP camera at the back with a 12MP sensor on the front for selfies. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 660 SpC with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The Vivo X21 World Cup Edition goes on sale in China on May 22 and might retail for higher than 3,598 yuan (approx. Rs 38,300) since that’s how much the standard variant of the phone costs.
Vivo had yesterday announced another sibling of the X21 with the release of the X21i that is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 Processor and runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo. The X21i also replaces the 12MP camera on the X21 with an upgraded 24-megapixel sensor for refined selfies.
