India-based online cab company, Ola is soon going to include the Tata Nano-based, Jayem Neo Electric Car in its fleet. In the first batch, the brand will be will be including 400 units of Jayem Neo electric vehicles cab manufactured by the Jayem Automotive.
According to the Electric Vehicle’s number plate, the Jayem Neo seems to belong from Hyderabad, where the Ola Cabs will be first introducing its fleet. It is worth noting that under an agreement, Tata Motors will manufacturing the Nano’s body shells for the Jayem Automotive, which will not include the engine and the gearboxes.
Later, the Jayem Automotive will install a 48-volt electric system on the body of Tata Nano, which will give the power of 17kW (23 bhp). These have been prepared by the PowerTrain Electra EV. Furthermore, according to the pictures, the Tata and Nano branding will be replaced with the Jayem and Neo badges.
To recall, the Jayem Automotive and Tata Motors are together working in a joint venture, where the companies will prepare the sporty version of some of Tata cars, including the Tigor JTP and Tiago JTP, under the JTP branding. The vehicles were earlier spotted at Auto Expo 2018 and expected to launch later this year, near Diwali.
